Working on the template for my largest piece yet. Everything gets drawn out to size before I cut it out in fabric

You know how you don’t get artists to sign up for your market? By dm-ing them a link to an Instagram post with no prior communication, no greeting, and no explanation. Is it just me?!

I’m not religious and for a long time haven’t believed in heaven and hell. But I think I’m starting to believe in h
Hell because there has to be a very special place in it for Trump.

I really thrive under deadlines. I have so many ideas for new art pieces right now and I’ll do everything I can to procrastinate working on them. Including being here telling y’all about it.

I recently released a couple new prints, including this one of my textile piece titled “Flowers and Shapes”.

What is it called when you are both lonely AND annoyed with being around every person?

Luxury fashion sometimes feels like a dystopian display of the huge wealth disparity that exists. I know this, but I’m also a textile obsessed artist who appreciates beauty so I’m torn because these two looks from Valentino are so fucking cool and I want them.

In addition to appliqué tapestries and artwork, I also make appliqué patchwork that I soaked to the back of vintage and secondhand jackets. All made from repurposed fabric, of course. #secondhandclothing #repurposedclothing

Thinking about this piece while I’m under the weather today. It’s called “The Rest”. It’s large at 4 1/2 ft.² It’s meant to glorify and uplift the concept of rest, because it’s too easy to not do enough of it. #textileart #baroque #repurposedart #tapestry

I was extremely lucky to have the teachers I did because I read a lot of books that are being banned or considered “objectionable”. Those books changed me and helped me see the life from perspectives other than my own. And I dare say made me smarter. And that’s why they don’t want kids reading them.

This is one of my current favorites. Gold is my favorite color, so maybe that’s why! Made from repurposed fabric and a wee bit of paint. I use some appliqué quilt techniques in my process, too. #surrealism #textileart #artist #mixedmedia

I’ve been doing more floral work lately, mostly inspired by Dutch Baroque floral still life paintings. But doing my own thing with it and of course, always made from repurposed textiles.

This piece was a gift for my best friends milestone birthday. It is completely made from repurposed textiles using appliqué quilting techniques. It has a trompe l’oeil frame, also made from fabric!

A piece from a Baroque body of work I’m currently creating. This is made with repurposed fabric and set in a vintage frame. It’s called “Heartbreak is embarrassing.” #heartbreak #fiberart #artist

This is one of my appliqué tapestries called TEARS. It’s basically a temple of crying. Please come to the temple if you need to.😢

It’s my first day😊! I’m an artist, working exclusively with repurposed textiles to make tapestries and clothing.
