Today is International Men’s Day. So here’s to refugee men fleeing abuse, trans men denied healthcare, queer men bullied for being different, Black men racially profiled, disabled men excluded from work, and all the other men who fail at being “real men.” May we continue to cultivate our humanity.

The NYT has been quoted in defense of Charlie Kirk by the right, if that gives you an idea of where they actually are on the political spectrum.
heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.

I just can’t with this government. Read this 🧵 for Sandwich Guy trial.
The officer Sandwich Guy is charged with assaulting testifies that he could feel the impact of the sandwich through his ballistic vest, and it “exploded all over my uniform.” He says he could “smell the onions and the mustard.”

For non-US folks: this is the cost to simply have access to non-urgent healthcare. For that price a month, they’ll pay $30 to see their doctor, as opposed to $100-150 depending on city and quality. That’s just the visit, not any treatments, tests, or medications.
So I've been paying $1200 a month this year for an ACA plan.

2026 preview site from the regime just went up.

This is what the exact same plan will cost me per month in 2026.

I'm beside myself.

It’s so simple, actually. Inclusivity.
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

Will Norway’s health department listen to the largest patient organization for a historically marginalized group that was forced to undergo sterilization to simply access medical treatment not even a decade ago? I hope so!

I am simply not sure that Norway’s government is ready to fight disinformation that has already been tested, improved upon and successful in the USA.

Even Norway’s socialist rag Klassekampen dismissed SPLC’s classification of SEGM as a hate group (based on…their interview with SEGM)

That same health clinic is also the only one to provide GAC for non-binary people, whom the national clinic refuse to treat at any age. Despite our right to care being written in Norwegian law.
Trans rights news from Norway:

We were preparing for the Pride parade tomorrow as news broke that the only gender affirming clinic in Norway stops all new hormone treatments for trans youth.

The only option left for trans youth is the national clinic, where an est. 78 % face conversion therapy.

Can other countries who’ve based their actions on the UK’s oppression be included in the report, such as Norway? Which has in effect banned public coverage for all non-binary people and severely restricted care for binary trans adults and minors?
Just concluded my keynote at Pride In London's Human Rights Forum.

I have announced today publicly that I now see it as my sad duty to make an evidence based report to Genocide Watch and The Lemkin Institute requesting investigation into the systematic oppression of the trans community of the UK.

It’s almost like @nytimes.com is glad it was cited in the ruling, and wants to make sure to provide more sources for future transphobic court decisions.
1. After the Skrmetti decision, the New York Times has published 6 articles dancing on the graves of trans youth and spreading disinformation on care.

It was cited 7 times in the ruling.

Also, for trans folks: if you’re wondering “what would it take for people to stop telling me about ‘the science’ while they’re being transphobic?” I’m sad to report you can have a PhD in biology, you can study steroid hormones and how they produce developmental variation for that PhD, won’t matter.

Hard sell when in capitalism, where the product is prioritized above all else.
New research from MIT found that those who used ChatGPT can’t remember any of the content of their essays.

Key takeaway: the product doesn’t suffer, but the process does. And when it comes to essays, the process *is* how they learn.

It ruled discrimination against gender dysphoria is not trans discrimination, and used the same rationale used by VA to defend its interracial marriage ban.
