Not trying to win anything. Just realistic. Those examples were toxic intermediate solutions to bigger problems. Artificial Intelligence is in another galaxy.

Im no fan of the oligarchs but people who have not had their lives transformed in incredibly positive in productive ways as I have are not really connecting by labelling everything as garbage. Makes me think that person has only seen some social media and marketing crap

Yeah it’s too bad about what’s happening to education, which Ive spent a large part of my life pursuing and working within, but there is no going back as long as we have computers. Its part of the world now.

How about a utility knife? Chainsaw? Its a tool, and it’s true it can be dangerous, but incredible amount of cutting edge work and resources is being put in to making it “safer”, which by the way, will only make open, uncensored models with all guardrails deliberately taken off, more popular.

But the major AI model providers do put enormous efforts in improving safety, continuously. The public is right to bring up problems but these companies are not being negligent. The unfortunate problem is there is no 100% guarantee a probabilistic system is perfect
