Theresa Muñoz is about to take the stage at Hidden Door, performing from her new collection Archivum. We caught up with her to chat about the inspiration of Muriel Spark, multiracial identity and giving a platform to lost voices.

Nothing more demoralising than planning a feature about a film (especially one you have a very deep emotional connection to!) only to find out that someone on youtube has come out with a video on exactly the same topic the week before

Just a reminder that Film Stories is 100% independent. There's no funding body, we don't get grants, we can only spend what we bring in (which places limits on what we can cover).

If you like what we do, please consider supporting us here: filmstories.co.uk/support/

Thank you!

I'm so excited about this one. If you're in Edinburgh or nearby, come along to our screening of The Human Surge on Saturday. This film spends five minutes exploring the inside of an ant-hill and it somehow works - it's fantastic stuff.
"The Human Surge is that rarity – an experimental film that is actually experimental, and constantly one step ahead of the viewer" - Brian Beadie

THE HUMAN SURGE is screening this Saturday as part of CinemaAttic's Eduardo Williams retrospective.

I've recently been introduced to Marcell Jankovics' films. So far I've only seen Son of the White Mare and Johnny Corncob, but I'm in love. It's some of the most beautiful animation I've ever seen.
