Our friends gave us 10 lbs of beautiful lemons from their backyard tree. I made some lemon ice cubes. I’m going to make lemon curd to go with scones as well. What else should I make?

A 6-month DIY project of installing pavers in between our new home addition and the garage comes to a finish last weekend. Still a few more minor things to add but good timing before the rainy season.

Finally got some garden time. I’m working on transitioning my crops from summer to cool weather. Plus, reset and refresh the beds. I’m concerned there’s tree root invasion and how much extra work and time it is going to take to investigate and fix.

Last weekend, I made sourdough English muffins for the first time. The recipe I used was too wet and took forever to incorporate more dough and rest until it became workable.

First baby summer harvest. It’s been unusual weather this year, so plants are slow growing.

Brought the fiddle leaf tree back over and placed it in this corner and it’s really brought life and coziness here.

I need to repot it with some new soil and maybe give it a little trim since it’s leaning to one side too much.

My first poppy of the season!

Tomato seedlings growing strong. So up-potted to the next size and needed to expand the area a bit. Will continue to organize the expansion section more efficiently.

Excited to finally add butterworts to my plant collection! Hoping they will also help catch the gnats.

Up-potted some of my seedlings over the weekend. Had to raise the trays to be closer to the grow lights to reduce leggy seedlings. Will need to figure out another setup when I up-pot the next round…

New seed starting setup this 2025 season. I’ve moved to the garage and got a 3-tier grow shelf from Gardener’s that Art setup for me. A later start than previous seasons but finally got tomatoes and peppers in. 🤞🏻
