9. when your health/essence are full, you can still consume food up to a certain point. then the built-up consumables will automatically restore you when you lose health/essence later

8. upgrade materials and food weigh nothing, so you don’t have to manage them at all

7. loot isn’t shown at all on the main map, so you actually have to explore and find it. but when you’re close, icons will show up on the minimap so you can still easily navigate your immediate surroundings. chests don’t have icons, but instead have a sound that gets louder as you get closer

6. every piece of equipment not currently equipped shows you how its stats compare to what you have equipped without having to go into a separate comparison mode

5. every piece of equipment that can be upgraded/broken down shows you the exact components needed to upgrade it and the exact components you will receive if you break it down by default

4. in the radial menu, consumables get bundled by type (health regen, essence regen, types of buffs) so you don’t have to waste time sorting through dozens of food

3. anything in your inventory can be instantly sent to your camp storage at the press of a button

2. when you fast travel to a camp (where you upgrade gear and talk to companions), after you’re done for the night you can choose to either exit where the camp is located or teleport back to the exact spot before you fast traveled

1. you can see if a random crate has something in it before you break it so you don’t have to go around breaking every little box you see
