If he’s successful at getting FIFA to switch cities at this stage, the fallout will be immense. The # of people that will lose money on advance flights/hotels booked, will have such negative consequences. Good luck with that Donnie. You always find a way to make yourself even more hated by all 🤣

I have to hope that democratic governors are anticipating this and plan to have their own police forces there as a deterrent to those ICE cowards. Probably wishful thinking, but something should be done we know they will try this.

I really wish they would ACTUALLY do this. It's time for drastic measures, and this would be a fantastic way to slow them down. The federal government relies heavily on blue states to fund it. Newsom can lead the way here, seems he's one of the only governors willing to go head to head with the 🍊💩

They are not up for re-election which is why they were able to take the hit of caving. Nothing to lose, plus some sweet donations from American Airlines on the way out to prevent travel pain.

Also a good point! I truly hope so too. I’m worried that by the time people realize how dire things are, it will be too late. One big No Kings protest every few months isn’t going to get rid of these fascists 😖 They are probably gearing up to try to agitate and stir up trouble to crush the protests.

This is so they can crack down on the next No Kings protest on October 18 - to arrest people & try them as terrorists. They want this to be a chilling effect to keep people from going, including any future dissent. I'm sure they fear this one will be much larger. Buckle up, it's about to get ugly.
