There is only one possible ending to this story, and sports aren't the last chapter. I guarantee that if you haven't lost five decades of rights in two weeks, you have no idea what this feels like, so I'm begging you: protect trans kids right now with everything you've got.

Pride Month may be over, but transfem authors still need your support!!!

Our community raised 64% of our $5000 goal by the end of June 🥳🩷

Your reward was to set my reading goal for the rest of the year, which is now 26 books. Wayyy too easy 😏

If we hit 4k? I'll double that.

If we hit 5k? TRIPLE
TFR’s 2025 Mutual Aid Pride Drive
This Pride Month, please consider donating $50 or more directly to a transfemme author in need. TFR will be matching the first $500 in donations.

maybe the transmascs need a little joy in our feed? maybe an agent once suggested your top surgery be the central conflict of your memoir & you were like ummmm, no?

anyway whatever you’re here for I wrote this for us & I hope you like it & I hope you get to live it too, if you want.
"This phase of recovery is luxurious mornings on the porch, sipping tea through a straw and reading on a propped-up Kindle, birds chirping and sunlight flickering down through rustling leaves."

Chase Strangio is a phenomenal advocate and put his whole chest out there in oral argument. This wasn’t some fun gamble for him, this was his life and the lives of the trans kids who come after him. Shame on the NYT and everyone else who plays like this. This shit isn’t funny, it’s dire.
The NYT decided to kick trans people in the teeth the day after Skrmetti. They wrote a hit piece blaming trans people for their own oppression and attacked the people who have fought hardest to stop this effort to eradicate us.

They turned to Brianna Wu to further their narrative.

This framing is beneath contempt. The Christian right and MAGA launched an unprecedented assault on the civil rights of a tiny minority and successfully weaponized the pseudoliberal establishment - led by the NYT - to provide it with a medical controversy pretext that doesn’t actually exist.

In light of SCOTUS's ruling in Skrmetti, @brittneymac15.bsky.social asked doctors what trans youth and their families need to know about navigating this. @teenvogue.com

experts advise continuing to talk to affirming healthcare providers if you have them and exploring options for care out-of-state.

Today is a real bad day for trans folks. Lots of us are already struggling under the constant mental and emotional strain of being the target of international hate campaigns for years now, and it ain't getting easier

Support us, now more than ever. Emotionally, financially, politically. We need it

Good for Tim Walz. Especially powerful because he's probably the only governor in the country who has spent a substantial part of his career actually coaching high school sports. He knows how disgusting it is to separate and punish kids because of an adult moral panic

Johnathan Joss died a hero. He was murdered for being gay, he went out protecting his trans husband from being executed. They burned down their home and killed their pets and then they murdered Joss while trying to murder his husband. The New York times can barely muster "fatally shot." I hate this.

did you know utah’s GOP produced a great case for *preserving* that care? clear & quick summary in the link!🧵

92 years ago today, the Nazis raided the Magnus Hirschfeld Institute for Sexuality, where the first study of trans people was conducted, and burned all of its contents.

Fitting that today is also the day SCOTUS greenlights the project of the eradication of trans people from society in the US.

this whooooole thread
If someone you admire adopted views that amount to claiming you don't deserve human rights, you'd probably feel the same way. In fact, I assume a lot of non-trans folks in other vulnerable communities understand this feeling deeply.

This is exactly right. She is in no meaningful sense an artist anymore. She is an extremely wealthy, publicly hateful, full time anti-trans campaigner and a horrifically successful one. She’s a cult leader with political pull.
To me Rowling exists entirely outside of the “should we support/work with artists with troubling views?” debate. She doesn’t just *think* her opinions, she doesn’t just *say* them, she’s a relentless 24-7 activist whose whole mission in life is terrorizing trans people.
there's also people claiming we trans people are "holding allies to a purity test" here and to be clear:

"Don't participate in stuff that actively funds the campaign to exterminate us" is a pretty fucking low bar. One might say it's not even "allyship," it's just decency.
