Consolidation is natural because the scale of the network is huge part of the value. Still there’s room for multiple players by sheer inertia, kind of like how people use both Instagram and Pinterest to share photos

Separate but related: have you given any thought to the legal implications of server hosting? I.e. if I decide to host a server for me and my friends, am I liable for DMCA takedowns?

Better algorithm control, I.e. if the algorithm starts showing me too much of some account, the ability to tell it to “tone it down a notch” without muting/blocking/etc
