The number of times I have been told by someone whose entire social circle is Jews, who sends their kids to a Jewish day school, who works at an office with only other Jews, that immigrants need to assimilate more is more than the zero it should be

individual religious practice is not what we're talking about here. Saying “Jewish self-rule in the land of Israel will be brought about by the Messiah son of David” is not Zionist because it entails Jewish self-rule will not come about via secular means.

because the root of the word is בטח = trust, and the last letter isn’t a suffix but part of the word. If it were מבטך it would be “Your view” whereas מבטח is “object of trust”
