Every time I see those chainsaws in Lidl I *almost* buy one for the craic, but common sense talks me it of it.
Then a tree (that I've been saying I'll cut down for over a year...) falls on my house and I don't have anything to cut it up with.
Today's lesson: It's ok to be a bit of a prepper.

I spotted River Monsters was on while channel hopping and it occurred to me that it's basically Scooby Doo for Da's.
i.e. You wait the entire episode and in the end it turns out there's no monster and it's just someone making up a bollox story to manipulate people.

My 5yo is learning compass directions using the mnemonic "Never Eat Soggy Waffles" & it jolted me back to how I learned them.
N&S was ok but I struggled with E&W until I realised the movie "Into The West" was about 2 boys going from my city to the west of Ireland, so we must be East. Yep. I'm odd.

In other news, my air conditioner broke down today. It's only been used maybe twice since I got it in 2019 but somehow it got water in the motor and rusted. Also, it reached 30°c at my house today. 🫠
