Wonderful brewery. I miss seeing their stuff over here now. Used to be pretty common sight a decade or so ago. Loved their artwork on the bottles, cans just don’t quite have the same impact.

Yeah it’s crazy. We are looking at about £500 a month rise in rates next year, plus beer duty rise. So beer is going to get more expensive, just like everything else

Our entire economy is set up to create this though. It’s more tax efficient to earn money from owning something than from working.

Yeah, Id definitely rather give more money to staff than beer duty and rates, but it is another cost that’s going up alongside everything else. It’s tough to find the money for all the rising costs, but the least that one is putting more money in the pockets of people that work in the business.

And seemingly had little plan to capitalise on the any good will, brand recognition or anything else. Always felt to me like it bought failing business and continued to operate them in the same way that saw them fail in the first place. Particularly with the 3 you mentioned.
