Nethack doesn't eagerly tell you ANYTHING. at best it might reluctantly let something slip if you get it drunk.

That one notification was 40 notifications?

Bsky needs an option to collapse repeat notifs into one. "8 people liked your skeet" isn't 8 notifications, it's 1!!

Happens to me a lot. Clicking in the big blank space often reveals that the results really have populated, only the ui didn't load right until the click. Rebooting always fixes it for a few more days. Never found a cause.

That book is un-put-downable and it's impossible to read it without wanting to write or pilot a ttrpg character or just do *something* to try to be as good as Leigh.

Petrification is actually a huge component. A cockatrice is a common monster. There's also a Medusa. If you're wearing gloves, you can pick up their corpse and bash monsters with it to petrify them.

You'll see any experienced hacker carrying around a lizard corpse because eating it cures petrify

In nethack you break statues with a pickaxe and there is occasionally loot inside. Usually spellbooks. Stone to flesh turns them back into their monster. Some are fake statues that attack.

I'm writing in a world where music is fundamentally tied to adventure and let me tell you, it is satisfying to imagine.

Do it!
