GALAXY QUEST: beautifully threads the needle of being a very funny star trek satire and also a really fun sci fi thriller in its own right, with all-round great performances and a wonderful emotional heart that comes from a genuine love of the genre. also. sigourney. jesus christ

and today: grey and a bit drizzly, low tide, freezing cold, not an inviting swim whatsoever. but we were in exmouth and couldn’t not go in, so we gave it a shot expecting to get up to our shins and no further, but it ended up being beautiful and liberating. then a handsome american took our picture
