There was a group of 110 of scientists (organized by the American Geophysical Union or AGU) split into groups by state - 6 of us representing PA, with 1 day of training and 1 day walking around for organized meetings in both Senate and Congress.

So this past week 3 of my students (Lillian, Roy and Winston) and I went to DC to talk to our Congressmen and Senators - both Democrat and Republican - and tell them to vote against the extinction event level - Funding Cuts for federal Science (FY26). Below are some details and pictures!

3 pages of disasters here covering the last 10 days, including major cuts to NOAA, NASA, NSF, DOE, etc. and Executive orders. I will update this in coming weeks if I can keep up. Any institutions doing this already in a more comprehensive way (I don’t need to do my own if someone already doing one)
