The family (under various visas) made a home in Biloela QLD until 2018 when immigration officials removed them from their home in a dawn raid. Tharni was 9 months old, the LNP was in gov and Dutton was Immigration Minister at the time. The family was held in detention for over 4 years. In 2021 (while Alex Hawke was Immigration Minister) four-yr old Tharni (on the hospital bed in the image) was medically evacuated for treatment of a suspected blood infection - her sister was initially not allowed to be with her. The disgraceful saga was ultimately resolved in June 2022 after Australian voters ousted the LNP and elected the Aus Labor Party.
