They stopped selling them in the last year or so but they *were* making a pair of docs that were insulated and waterproof! They got me thru my first Rhode Island winter last year.

I generally agree but it's fair to say that conditions have gradually worsened over time to make life increasingly harder for each generation.

But coming out of college in '96 was the opposite -- I got a $40k/year tech job with benefits and stock options LITERALLY because I knew HTML. It's a complete 180 from what new college grads are dealing with now.
