Definitely a shortage of linnets at Druridge Links this winter, normally good numbers, and goldfinches, in with the twite.

We walked more during lockdown, to the far flung bits of the 5K patch - Beacon Point, Linton Pond, QEII and Druridge Pools. All canny hikes for a round trip.

There is a local patch thing too, useful if your patch covers more than one hotspot like my 5km from home patch. On eBird.com go to explore then scroll down to ‘Compare your Totals’ and then ‘Patch Totals’. You can add a patch.
