Beautiful Ember Jane. In her former life she was used to produce lambs over and over until she was sent to slaughter last spring for unknown reasons. A concerned citizen rescued her and brought here... where she turned out to be pregnant! 🧵

LONG but lovely day of sorting Lego. Building some sets, and also two personal from-scratch projects, only one of which went anywhere. Lots to think about vis a vis storage, display and sorting.
But wet & windy evenings and days lend themselves so, so well to this.

Friends, we all need to re-watch this episode this week and in January, we're going to Blackadder the arse out of work meetings. I might try to get one into internal corporate comms.
There's an episode in Blackadder 3 where Edmond uses made-up words to convince Samual Johnson that he's missed stuff from his dictionary. I have been using these same words in work meetings and reports for decades without ever being challenged on their authenticity.

Difficult conversation with my father this evening, who now admits he can't remember what doctor or nurse told him what.
In one sentence, he went from the nurse at his "clinic" telling him he has type II diabetes to it being Dr McLean who told him that when he had an appointment for back pain.

Many people also get to their seventies without realising that you can eat potato skins and don't need to peel carrots, squashes or sweet potatoes, can eat broccoli and cauli stalks, and cauli leaves, the green parts of leeks and spring onions, and that olive oil isn't going to kill you.
I was 43 when I learned via a co-worker that you're not supposed to eat that sleeve that is on Peperami. I thought it was just like the edible skin of normal sausages.
