You all are still so obsessed with Hardesty even though she hasn't been in office for years. I wonder why that is.

Sorry, if you're now finally interested in facts and data, did I miss the part where you brought data and professional experience into the discussion?

I had a similar conversation with this person and when we finally whittled down what they meant by "pdx voters" they said they were referring to business owners 🙃

I don't think you understand the people who voted for her. They are very much in support of this.

I hear ya. You can likely link up with an existing group with supplies and food and help them distribute. Look into Free Hot Soup, Meals on Us PDX, Community Free Store. This is a pretty comprehensive list linktr.ee/communitysno...

If you haven't seen the need for repairs and other necessary upgrades in our Parks, or find Parks programming to be vital, that's fine, you do you. But please stop mischaracterizing what our city council has been doing.

I'm glad you like our Parks! We do need to pay for them. PPB had zero idea how they were going to use the $, they still have a number of funded vacant positions. PPB continue to get the largest share of the city's budget. A majority of voters just passed the parks levy and disagree with you.

But police don't really prevent property crime, parks are critical to the health and vitality of our city, property taxes go up pretty much every single year in recent history, and public services are good and worth funding.

2 million is not a "gutting" of anything, let alone reallocating unspent PPB money. It was a smart move that I appreciated, and I'm a PDX voter. So who are we really talking about here?

Giving people homes and keeping people in their homes prevents homelessness. Perhaps you need to educate yourself rather than armchair quarterbacking social services.
