Funny enough I wouldn't be surprised by them using that as foreshadowing, a main character falls and new protagonist takes his place? There's even betrayal in there.

Going crazy looking for the exact episode but there is a thing in a being the elite episode where they were completely redo the bar scene with Arthur and Lenny from rdr2 except it's hangman and Kenny, Complete with the same exact music from that scene.
