Have you ever noticed that the only people using the word “cyber” want to sell you something?

Sounds like what he was really trying to say was “it’s genre fiction” and he meant it as an insult but we didn’t take it as he intended. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And as time went on there are now more of us than him.
On the one hand, I agree completely.

On the other hand, we sold a lot of books by putting what was meant to have been a put-down from the NYT reviewer on the cover of Good Omens. ("A direct descendant of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", ie a Bad Thing.)

Add in a dash of “you can’t tell me not to say that” even though it’s not true, jaw-droppingly discompassionate, or just straight-up racist…
One big problem is that people were all, "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" And, of course, they're mostly right.

But, then they took it further and made their entire personality about "I WON'T DO ANYTHING YOU SAY even if it's solid advice."

And, now people are stepping away from those folk.
