Let me get this straight:
“The courts are interpreting laws we made and hold us to account. So let’s appeal those laws.”
Do I have this correct? These rights are inconvenient and so should be stripped.

I love this. It’s what I’ve maintained all along. Feel good laws, feel good statements about unceded territories. It was never meant to actually be put into action, it was always just feel goods. Nothing more.

I love this. It’s what I’ve maintained all along. Feel good laws, feel good statements about unceded territories. It was never meant to actually be put into action, it was always just feel goods. Nothing more.
Well I’m certainly not not happy. I was not a fan of Rustad or the arrogant team that surrounded him. My concern at this point is the weirdo extremist element will surface. That’s not good. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Having a healthy dose of scepticism regarding government statistics is a good thing. Requires some knowledge of how stats actually work though.
Like when the government says we’ve exceeded job creation numbers and the fine print says the jobs added were part-time and in low paying sectors.

Good news to hear the transit Youth Passes will remain funded. This is a vital program that should be expanded across our entire region. Victoria is a leader here and that’s commendable.

Victoria should be swimming in cash. What with all of the development that has gone on over the past decade. Too bad we elected people willing to tug at heart strings over affordable housing, jettisoning obstacles to oversee the large profits for their developer friends. Now we have to make cuts.
