What being a Professional GM means to me: A Thread.
A few years ago I was running games online for a fee. It was the pandemic, I was enrolled in law school, and I needed something to keep my attention as well as a hobby. I started with one game a week. And that felt so hard. One game.

My player's favorite NPC died today. His body was salted in such a way that resurrection is impossible. They've sworn vengeance not just for the land, not just for their people, but for Uncle Wrenchspanner! Death to the God-King! DEATH TO BRUTALIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In law school, I'd often argue that there was no 'cosmic law' that caused certain arguments to work; that so much of the logic behind a law was a construct and not intrinsic to reality. I think about that when I run Cthulhu games as to what the cosmic laws, or lack thereof, require. #Cthulhu #nerd
