The MPG-50 also has a random patch generator that was surprisingly good. You can narrow it down to certain types (bass, pads, leads, etc) and it gives pretty interesting results. Very few “WTF?” results.

I was mostly playing with bass sounds (even though I really bought this for the big poly sounds) and it was super fun to just be able to grab the filter sliders and tweak as I noodled. It’s Juno rooted really came alive.
