Spectre had to have been one of the earlier ones to experiment with different inflated shapes. This one definitely stood out, even after first seeing it at a much later time.

Your attention to physics and the way you have their bodies shudder, wobble, and bob around as their curves blow up... (especially when they end up floating)

Transport

Hit them with the gas, they get big & float. The whole thing was vague, the SFX, the jokes about their appearance, and yeah...the whole 'guess it's the power of believing & mothballs' as a fix. But the animation of them shuddering/wobbling in the air very much implied inflation and & that stuck.
