Quiet guy with a big passion for indiepop, cycling, darts, live music, non league football and Brussels sprouts. But not in that order. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I don’t expect anyone to follow me and I’m ok with that. I’m just a nobody with a passion for a few things. I’ll say very little and have no opinion stronger than saying Brussels sprouts are the greatest vegetable. It’s not even controversial as it’s true!
Wow! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

Must apologise to @thejustjoans.bsky.social for failing to think of a witty reply to David complimenting my t-shirt and for my daughter falling in to Katie whilst dancing to Twat Union! Will aim for better behaviour from both of us at Winter Sprinter! 😀 What a sensational day full of great music.

ITV showing their commitment to cycling perfectly there!

When I was 9, a Scot finishing 4th at the TdF gave me a lifelong love of the sport. Thank you @pippayork.bsky.social. I hope what Oscar Onley has done inspires a load of 9 year old Scots, just like it has this 50 year old. So proud waving my saltire in Paris yesterday 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Anyone doing Roubaix this weekend? Have my Femmes route planned, but unsure about Sunday though. Is it a nightmare getting parked and anywhere near Arenberg?

Great that BBC Scotland have picked up Scottish National Team matches. Not sure what’s more annoying though - having zero commentary at the start or now having it, but 3 seconds out of sync. Come on BBC, sort it out.

What should I buy on Bandcamp Friday? Sassyhiya already in the basket. Any other suggestions of recent indiepop stuff?

I could only make the evening of day 2 of @sweepingthenation.bsky.social at Firebug, but flipping heck, what an evening. And home in time for the final of the UK Open darts!

Warriner suggesting that Dimi should have gone for a run in the break to get fresh air to get the adrenaline going…is that his way of saying he thinks Dimi is more hammered than usual and needs to sober up! #ukopen #darts

Well, this is a bit better from Scotland’s women tonight. Backs against the wall for most of it, but coping ok. Might live to regret that miss at the end of the half.

The Scotland kit is superb. The performance so far, less so!
Still time, come on Scotland

What a shambles of an elimination race this is. Evans out despite being nowhere near the back. Teutenberg crossing last early, yet allowed to stay in. All very bizarre

I’ve finished reading this wonderful book. What an amazing journey the author took me on and all cleverly linked. Seemlessly talking about The Green Goddess one moment and soon after it’s all about Justin Fashnu, but no clunky direction changes.

Scrappy win for Kettering today, I always thought we might struggle when the pitch deteriorated. Always a pleasure to get my annual viewing of Leroy Lita. Still some player, easily out jumping our much bigger defenders

Shout out to the guy who not only stood and drew @dublonde.bsky.social whilst they played at The Flapper last night, but then pulled out a full set of paints and coloured it in! Impressive.
Oh, the gig was awesome too.

Just watched Ian Dury & The Blockheads from Hammersmith 1985 that was on Sky over Xmas and it was absolutely brilliant. Makes me upset that I didn’t pay attention when I saw him live supporting Madness in the early 90s. What a fool the young Indiepopper was!

Is there a 50% discount or is that a hypothetical comment? All I can see is everything is £30 per month. We never had it so good when GCN ruled!
Me too I want to know how they crunched the numbers of “if we lose this many, but this many sign up and or this many take our 50% discount offer then forget to unsubscribe etc.

Seems like my wish might come to fruition.
Happy birthday! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for something from previous Leicester Indiepop headliners The Just Joans.

I’ve been loving darts on the radio for a few years. They get the perfect balance of telling you what’s happening and chatting darts and it’s so much more than just them reading out scores. I hope TalkSport keeps supporting this.
100% agree re: darts on the radio 👍🏻although one certain commentator does tend to get on my tits.

I think I only managed England, Scotland, France and Romania. Not non league though. I did go to a Hungarian 2nd division match last year that was like non league! My other foreign trips never coincided with matches.
Have been to Wisla Krakow and the atmosphere was superb, highly recommend
2024 has seen me watch #football in 7 countries - England, Scotland, Wales, Sweden, Romania, Spain and Austria. Where to go in 2025? Well another Christmas present might give me my 2025 challenge - visit and watch a game in each of the countries where these #beers come from!!

Well, that’s a shame to see Scott Williams lose. No, honestly. Don’t know who he is? Google him and it will tell you he’s a 3rd round loser!

Kettering Town doing brilliantly in the first half, great goal from Isiah. Here’s hoping they can keep it tight in the second half

Loved ep.1 of Game of Throws, but felt there was too much darts in it! We don’t need overly long, dramatic re-runs of the games we watched. Would have preferred more time on behind the scenes and interviews
