Still fighting the last titanomachy.
Old enough to know better; daft enough to do it anyway.

I am not sorry, and I would do it again, too.
So four days ago I suffered a series of minor cardiac incidents. "Heart attack" seems a bit grand. I am still in hospital, and my phone is full of well wishes.

So we just watched 28 Years Later. I'm not sure what I expected, but that was not it. That was three student films poorly welded together with five minutes tacked on the end showing where the films budget went - on LSD presumably.

-5 out of 10, shame on all involved.

I am off work sick at the moment under orders to rest. I am looking for less well known series that I migjt have missed to watch from the last 5 years. Any offers?

Why was I not informed that Meg 2: The Trench climaxes with a 3 way fight between Jason Statham, 3 Megs and a giant octopus? On Fun Island?

I am watching Pamela Anderson scat on stage. Its quite the thing.

What's your sign?

The Eye is my favourite character in Alien: Earth.Theres definitely something about silence, staring and the occasional trolling headbutt. While most creatures of the Alien universe feel like instinct-driven animals, The Eye has a level of overt sapience which makes its behaviour super creepy.

Two episodes into Alien: Earth, and I am already shrieking 'No! Do not look at it! Protect your orifices!' at the telly. And I am constructing a shared universe between Alien and Santa Clarita Diet (I see you, Mr Ball Legs)

A generation which first heard the words "Kneel before Zod" and went a bit quiet, mourns. Farewell Chancellor Valorum.

I have watched episode 1. I am genuinely hypnotised by how awful it is. Good actors are made wooden by dialogue worthy of a soap. No - a telenovela.

I have, previously, expressed my incredulity at Skys " The Rig" getting a 2nd season. I now discover Alice Krige of all people has joined it Other actors do not benefit by comparison.

Do you need more?

Tell me, have you seen it yet?

I've decided to make a collection of sonic screwdrivers* all the way back to Troughtons cat toy.

Capaldi's has just arrived. It's *huge*, puts Matt Smiths to shame. After this they became Jodies wobbly thing and Ncutis shoe, so clearly this was the final straw. Did Tennant have same one 2nd time?

I just tried to use Instagram to post a picture. How late noughties of me. Anyway, some Arts - I have been getting into drawing/colour lately despite being absent talent.

In order:
The Titan Emerges from Kaos
A Congeries of Iridescent Bubbles
Daoloth Comes
The Flesh is So Malleable in Love's Hands

I just sat in the toilet and had a quiet little cry.

Bjornaer has taken to the shape of her heart one last time, and will come no more among us.

So then that was season three of Yellowjackets. Sagged a bit in the middle but picked up pace at the end. Still keeping me engaged. Best series about girls playing football ever.

I am 54 today. And a bit numb.

2 days ago I opened LinkedIn - first time in ages - to discover I had missed the diagnosis and rapid decline of a friend across the pond.

Today, I recieve news of another old friend now in hospice care.

3 simple facts. I thought it important to make a record.

I am now therefore leaving behind me the Welsh March and crossing the spine of the country in a 1970s bus welded to rail dollies.

The return tomorrow is Transpennine Express, a service so hilariously bad it even makes Northern look like a paragon of efficiency. Pray for me. (2/2)

Due to being temporarily carless, trip to Leeds this evening is via the Romance of Rail. My CB to Chester train was, predictably five minutes late into Chester, giving me exactly zero minutes to make my Northern connection to Leeds. Good old reliably bad Northern were running ten minutes late. (1/2)

It only hurts when I laugh or fart. That's 80% of my life.

I am recovering from a nasty RTA Thurs night. -Just bumps and bruises for me, car leas fortunately. Sadly my key injury is badly bruised ribs, hence...
