Ok, folks. I see people cheering the court decisions that put curbs on the tRump administration, such as the multiple judges' rulings on deportations and federal employee firings, HOWEVER who is going to enforce these rulings? What actions will be taken if they defy the courts?

DEMOCRACY

How many of you feel that the town halls that Bernie Sanders and Tim Walz are staging are an effective way to reach potential voters? How many of you feel that more Democrats should be doing these town halls?

In a small town in South Carolina people with Democratic & Republican backgrounds stood up against Trump and oligarchy together.

"billionaires - are going to turn this country into a Russian oligarchy. We are going to lose our democracy"

I think we should all study up on the French Resistance because that's where we are all going to find ourselves soon

Well, it was fun while it lasted... yesterday at work a coworker proudly proclaimed that, now that tRump has taken ownership of the Gulf of America, he can send in the Coast Guard to stop drug traffickers and drill oil all the way to Mexico....

A small glimmer of hope at work...Two co-workers were discussing rising prices. One says if he had known all this, he would not have voted for him. The other comments about teenagers running social security....I took this opportunity to do "gentle education". No "I told you so's", just some facts...

I took some "mental health time" from social media. I'm not usually one who needs that kind of thing, but the events surrounding the election and the certainty of the suffering to come was just too much. I won't say I feel better because for the next 4 yrs there is no better

Let's just be honest, the Democratic party platform fell flat. I am 100% pro-LGBTQ and trans rights, have no doubt of that, however, most people in the US had larger priorities. High prices and interest rates put a real burden on many who are barely getting by.

I was honored to cast my 1st vote for Jimmy Carter and I would have gladly voted for him again. The betrayal of the Southern Baptists was a huge stain on "organized religion"...

The party used up about $5 billion on political ads in 2024. There’s a better way.
“Democrats need to organize their future politics around the simple reality that the establishment media is structurally hostile to the Democratic Party.”

"The traditional way of flooding hundreds of millions of dollars through a cartel of ad consultants is not working. If Democrats want to be an opposition party — if they’re not going to just roll over — you need to be getting your message out there all the time." — @ryanlcooper.com

It all started with Reagan many years ago. When he deregulated the media, he gave the purveyors of lies, conspiracies, and misinformation the freedom to do and say whatever they wanted.

"In #SouthCarolina, federal funding plays a large role, contributing ⬆️ 3️⃣5️⃣% towards the state revenue. SC residents receive a huge return on their federal taxes, earning $3.17 for every $1 paid in taxes.

The state received, from the federal government it so despises, over $13.6B this year alone.
