I don’t know what the answer is either. We’ve built a world that seems unsustainable from almost every angle.
I try to keep some historical perspective since every generation complains about change, but genAI does seem like a bad shift. What happens when most people simply don’t know anything?

Okay, got a good response on this from a native speaker in a discord server! They said "ello" is somewhat analogous to a possessive pronoun, so it would just "feel wrong" to a native speaker even if they couldn't express why. So I'm going with "ellu/lu/lu" instead.

Yeah, I've considered they/them/theirs and several English neopronoun sets - for example xe/xem/xir - and it's just that nothing ever hits me in the "I really like this" spot.
(Actually I kind of like what Universal Public Friend did and eschewed pronouns altogether. But that's a lot to ask.)

I guess my question is... says who? Like if I decide my gender-neutrality includes being somewhat of an abstract void, is this something people can get used to? Or is it just a word that has such an established meaning, it's impossible? /

Oh yes, my fibro gets so much better when I'm regularly going to the gym. It's just annoying to be at a baseline of nearly zero, which discourages me and then my trips are father apart :/
