I've had similar frustrations, weirdly though I've found that throws and grapples are still very effective in my dreams. Provided I can recognise I'm dreaming, learning there was at least a way to fight back was actually very satisfying. I hope you get to experience that at some point.

Didn't UKGE end 2 days ago?

That may be, but you won't have to face it alone. You are loved Busc, more than you know.

It'll be okay, I promise.

I know, that no matter what I tell you it'll be hard to believe.
But, I need to you to know that is not (nor has it ever been) true.

Obviously you'd get better results using one of those cyclorama style backdrops you can buy. But it's pretty impressive what you can do with a random bit of scrap.

Yeah professional code monkey here too, most of the people in my immediate circle aren't just against AI. They're outright terrified.

So what we get is a model that takes TV static and adjusts it to make the patterns that happen to be there more like an "#aesthetic" training images and more like the text prompt. The composition ends up looking random and illogical, and the textures, colors and shapes are noise-free.

Oh this is related to my research. Generative models like this learn to take a random noise image (like tv static) and repeatedly reduce the noise, iteratively making the details more like a training image and more like the associated text prompt. A middle stage might look like these

Gaussian noise (TV static) is also commonly used, actually it's probably more popular now. I'm quite a few years out of the loop at this point. But none the less it will retain that same black and white issue.

Most gen ai models use a voronoi noise pattern as a base layer for which to generate an image onto.

The extremes between the darkest and brightest light values are somewhat preserved.

It results in that weird high contrast smoothness that's always a dead giveaway of ai art.
