I agree on the predatory part! Consumerism and payment platforms have shifted how we buy things. I can justify almost every purchase these days because I can make $25 payments on my $100 order. People just forget it all adds up. Impulse buying junk is also a thing. It's a tangled web. :)

My partner is the same way. The amount of times I hear modular when we buy stuff or work on projects. New couch? Best add the word modular.

I can't complain. It's awesome.

Coming from the car community, I 100% get why some people prioritize their love of rides. Would I opt for monthly payments? No. Would I want that for someone living paycheck to paycheck? Heck no. I don't blame car culture or any niche community. Many people lack personal finance and discipline.

I need to level up my reading skills. Some of y'all finish books so dang quick. Adding both to my list!

I'm totally new here. Most other social platforms have started to feel off/weird in recent years and I've been reluctant to try something new.

As for dev or designer... Both. At least I know enough of both to be dangerous to any project. Lol. But my level of dev is frontend.
