I don’t think it’s a Constitutional issue; it’s a requirement of the laws that govern military service, from what I remember.

A lot of “woke” policies are just like that—local community-based inexpensive solutions to local needs. In many cases, the only role for the federal government is funding local initiatives as needed.

To the contrary—it’s typically less costly to be kind than to be an arse. Just as an example: accessible, affordable housing for the unhoused is less expensive than anything that the Right has done to “solve homelessness”.

He’s always been a streaky volume scorer. Over his career, he’s shot at 9.9%. I’m more concerned with him having 139 shot attempts, and the goalie having to save 45% of them. That’s into the “one-and-done” category. EP40 is a possession player, not so much a rush player. Not compatible, I think.

I agree that it would be a bad move. I’m not convinced that the current administration considers blowback in any of their decisions. They are panic-prone ignoramuses trying to weaponize every lever of power to remain in power. There are no adults in the room now.

There are several different ways to stop burning coal, oil, and gas. What has been missing to date is the will to stop burning them. We need to fix that.

Like I said, I’m not certain if they are smart/stupid enough to try and pull off something like that. But, to me, it’s by far the more serious concern than a court martial. Any trial over his comments would be a laugh.

His comments were basically a paraphrase of the military legal code. He’d clear any court martial easily. That’s not the point.
If he is recalled to active duty to stand in a court martial, they might try to force his resignation from the Senate, because he would then be an active service member.
