The child's school has a "D&D" club and several of the kids asked the school rep for D&D alternatives. If you think I am having a "Gondor calls for aid" response, you are correct. I got cleared to post "DCC Played Here" signage and hope to introduce the kids to Dungeon Crawl Classics.

Finished jungle terrain made using foamcore board cork tile and aquarium plants. The miniature in one of the pictures is a 54mm World War Two Japanese Infantry figure.

I sat this show out for a while even though I loved the director's other work. I have to say, watching the downfall of unethical, legally untouchable 1%-er shitbirds is really enjoyable... as we dance on a razor edge as a nation.

Some "jungle" terrain under construction. Using foamcore board, plastic aquarium plants and cork tile for area terrain. Individual bushes on poker chips for scatter terrain.Yellow material is lightweight air-dry clay. Next stop, texture paint for the ground. Figure in pictures is 54mm. #terrain

Pretty happy with the bases now that the wash has dried. Added some lightweight air dry clay to the next batch so I use less texture paint to bulk them out. Jungle terrain is in process now too.

WIP on a Japanese Rifle Platoon in 54mm, these are about 46 cents a model and they paint up pretty well for simple bagged toys. Mounted to plastic poker chips for stability. Based in texture paint and a mix of Herbs de Provence. Sometimes spices are cheaper than hobby flocking.

Since fighting things being "memory holed" is a good idea. It's worth remembering that a certain party used to be very pro union in the "good old days" which some people yearn for.

My "Deth Wizards" starting Warband. Zombies are from Mantic. The Ghoul, Zombie Troll and my Necromancer "Piper" are all Reaper Bones figures. The terrain tray is part of an CD case , blinged out with terrain bits, cardboard and basing materials.

I spent some time in Papua New Guinea and one day, my hosts took me out to an old US Airfield from WW2. There was most of a B24 Liberator bomber slowly being claimed by the jungle.

Some of my Nurgle Marine stuff from back in 2019. The Demon Prince is a Stage 1 Plague model from Mantic with metal parts from and old Demon Prince kit from GW. I was playing 8th ed 40k then. Now they have homes in other games.

Ok, it's been a rugged few days of the world doing things in ways which make the 'tisim really cranky.
So, I think my meditation will be building this chonky boi. I found the kit at 40% off. I adore Zaku based designs and the Gouf is like if GWAR had a a Zaku.

Populating NPC art and making tokens for LANCER using the great resources are this site. retrogrademinis.com this one is a stock NPC "Assault" frame in Tundra Slate camo. You can really go full "fashion plates" with this site and have fun making your PC or NPC resources.

I hope to get some Dungeon Crawl Classics going at my local community center and I was given this great funnel. In the best traditions of DCC 0 level funnels, it has basic townies doing epic things from jump. It's meant for 12+ townies so, each player will control 3-4 randos. So much fun.

Urge to build new boat fo SCABZ growing stronger. There is an option in the game to make a ship which has no shooting at all and is all about ramming and boarding. Now and then the ferry boats in Washington state crash into the docks so, seems evocative.

Finished a scratch build boat and torpedo markers for SCABZ. My inspiration was the "ORCA" from the movie Jaws. The game this is for uses a very scrounged DIY approach so, this is nearly all craft rummage and dollar store finds.

I enjoyed building the board and then crafting terrain bits to bing in. This also got me working through my backlog of unpainted figures so I could plop down table ready minis for encounters.

For real, how is this not a thing yet. Talk about a way to "get your steps in". The tower on Mount Constitution (Orcas Island Washington) would be an incredible quest site.

Me: Cool, time to test out PC gen in Shadowdark on Foundry. Oh neat, I can now use Frog Kin from the bestiary. Random rolls give me a mage, I pick Animisim as the school of magic and roll the nickname Stormhand.
