Touring Pittsburgh by bike!

I’m at #pycon

Here in Pittsburgh, even the pigeons rust.

There’s a Giant building like a game of Blokus got out of hand.

The code is Bike to work day

All day here in Fort Collins

Here’s the southern most breakfast station. Wave at Matt from Trek!

I saw old friends on the trail and at stations. It’s great to see so many people on bikes in the ice and snow. I wonder how many cities do something similar every year.

Still using the hobonichi techno

Paper still seems fantastic for my fountain pen. And little quotes are full of encouragement

This broken fountain pen caused me to buy a new rug (Yama budo ink from iroshizuki) to cover the bamboo floor.

As you can see from the new unbroken fountain pen, I have learned nothing..

I’m trying hobonichi techno this year. The paper is thin and so smooth.

I was surprised that it came with a plastic insert to write on. I guess it’s like the things Japanese school kids use to back paper they write on at their desk.

Sitting here at the Innosphere listening to Fort Collins Chief Sustainability Officer talk about how we should change the conversation to not carbon saved but lives saved.

But … he looks so familiar…. Oh, yeah! He founded Panda bikes! (Bamboo bicycle company)

50mm? Tubus, isn’t the standard like 80mm? Or 100m.

Another weekend project is delayed by eye rolls and hardware store scavenger hunts.

\o/ yay for king cage!

They make this nifty augmented hose clamp. I’m going to use this to mount a dynamo light on the P-38 recumbent.

I never would have considered this but the smart dudes at Brave New Wheel turned me on to it.
