Bureaucrat. Basket weaver. A little odd
After 11 years of talking to @sailorbryan.bsky.social 4 or more times a week, I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that he's dead and that means I'll never talk to him again.

Apparently "expert" has been redefined to mean "doesn't know s*** about."
Stephen Miller: Secretary Kennedy, one of the world's foremost experts on public health, is working hard to restore the credibility of the CDC as a scientific organization committed to the scientific method

So, if I'm depressed, I can get vaccinated but if I have anxiety I can't? Even if COVID is the thing that makes me anxious?
FDA is authorizing anybody with a risk factor from this list to receive the vaccines, as well as anybody 65+.

"The Democratic party will never cast you aside" means they will throw you on the ground in front of them and trample you.
Only the Democratic party stands for trans rights. The Democratic party will never cast you aside. If down playing trans rights issues somewhat helps us win then we should do that. The potency of trans rights as a wedge issue is a reality that can't be ignored. Progress comes in increments- just ask

Tim Walz: "Think of how easy it would be to be a damn Republican. 'Oh, what should I wear today? This stupid frickin' red hat. What should I say today? I don't know, just make sure it's cruel. Who do we listen to? That guy -- the felon in the White House.'"

"We've spent a lot of money on the military and now they have nothing to do so we might as well let the president use it domestically to satisfy his own petty grudges" is precisely why the Founders feared a standing army.

I mean, it's pretty much fucking verbatim.
Comer: "We're gonna support doing this in other cities if it works out in Washington DC. We spend a lot on our military. Our military has been in many countries around the world for the past two decades walking the streets trying to reduce crime. We need to focus on the big cities in America now."

Weiner schnitzel in Hamburg. Not as good as pierogi in Poland, but darn good.

I'm in Szczecin, Poland. Beautiful city. Needs more vowels.

Ever think about how awful it would be if the zombie apocalypse started when you were traveling somewhere you don't speak the language?

I had my first real pierogi in Gdansk. Good food, but difficult language.

@governorwalz.mn.gov is working to protect affordable medical insurance for people who are undocumented (good) while working to get State employees to accept a contract that makes our medical insurance unaffordable (bad). Healthcare is a human right.

With everything that's going on, I can't believe I have to go protest my Democratic governor tomorrow.

Elon, I hate to break it to you but you aren’t my boss. I answer to the people of Minnesota.

But since you bring it up, I spent last week fighting to stop tax breaks for billionaires like you, paid for by defunding health care for moms and babies

Lt Gov Flanagan has my endorsement!
I love Minnesota and my intention is to run for United States Senate and continue to serve the people of this state. I’ll make a formal announcement later this month. In the meantime, I’m talking with community and my family and friends. I will have more to say soon.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: an administration (and its supporters) who believe that they are not limited by the rule of law have no moral or philosophical claim to the protection of the rule of law. “The law is whatever we say it is” warrants the same in response.

Listening to some guy arguing with the Delta gate agent that his flight wouldn't be delayed if they didn't waste so much time deicing. Pretty sure MSP knows how to deal with cold temps and snow.

There’s a narrative that Gaetz was a deliberate head-fake — a distraction to boost the real candidate — but I am always suspicious of narratives that attribute four-dimensional chess to trump as opposed to knocking over the table and eating the checkers.

I've been a bit down for the past few weeks, but tonight I sucked it up and made hotdish. Just a reminder that there are still some things that are right in the world.
