Rather pleased @windmillfarm.bsky.social managed to relocate this beauty of a Steppe Grey Shrike just down the road from me. The mop was less impressed but seemed to enjoy the walk there.

It's been ages since I last saw a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker in the UK. When I lived in Norfolk, they used to be a bird you’d just bump into from time to time. Sobering to see how quickly they're vanishing from our landscapes though. Really should look for one sometime while I have the chance
