Like a Dragon 7 is a game I see myself coming back to every now and then when life beats me up. And something I would wholeheartedly recommend everyone, even those who aren't interested in the Yakuza franchise because this story is a gem that everyone should experience

Life goes on for all of us. But no matter how much we lose, we can still start again from zero. Like the koi swimming upstream through the harshest river currents in hopes of becoming a dragon, we have the strength within us to become the best version of ourselves-

"Once you're at rock bottom, the only way forward is up.
But the bottom doesn't have to be all dark and gloomy.

It's this irrationality that carries Ichiban throughout this whole game. This irrational optimism that draws all sorts of people to him, even the ones he has to beg to understand him.
Because Ichiban's unyielding optimism isn't born out of naivety, but it's his biggest weapon.

after losing everything is an inspiration and reminder that everyone needs at some point in their life.
With nowhere to go back to, no one to lean on and no dreams to push him forward, Ichiban decides to keep living by pursuing his childhood dream of becoming a hero.

Putting my scrambled thoughts into a thread here, this game is really something else.
I knew I'd already love Ichiban to death but making me attached to him in just 2 chapters is crazy work considering it took me a couple of games to warm up to Kiryu.
