I will say, having gone thru the book publishing process & law review process, book publishers—even today—are way less intensive on cites & footnotes. Likely b/c they don’t have dozens of free laborers. But they're not like that bar history. Perhaps that’s the happy medium. 4/4

The bibliography for contemporary periodicals of the period is this! That’s it! So for quotes from “The Times” you’re shown in the bibliography that you can look to “The Times” for the source. Super helpful, thanks! 3/4

None! It’ll says stuff like “The Times said this about the incident …” but no note of when that story was published, let alone the page number. It does have a bibliography, but that’s it. So you’d have to read through all these to substantiate the propositions in the book. Also … 2/4

What SCOTUS has done recently on Bivens is bad, but it doesn't have to do anything--reverse or go forward--for Congress to pursue legislative avenues. Congress could fix this tomorrow no matter what the Court does.

Thanks, I wasn't sure what happened with those "federal courts." I notice everything I'm looking at seems to be in state court.
