I ventured out to the cinema tonight solo for the first time in years.
I really enjoyed the film 😊
However, I did not enjoy the fizzy-juice-bottle-opening, packet-rustling, phone-ringing throughout the movies' quiet moments 😤
So, it's back to staying in & waiting for the home releases, I think!

What an absolutely beautiful film this was.
I was a fan of the books and films already, having grown up with her since I read the first book in 1998. I wept at some points.

I have noticed a growing trend amongst recent films and TV shows where there seems to be an abundance of unnecessarily long establishing shots and scenes happen without dialogue for longer, that I can only think it's to allow viewers to look at their phones without missing anything important. Sad.
