I just called Visa, and the magical words "lodging a complaint" keep them on the line. Say them when they try to get you to use email.
Also, Stripe literally cut off its customer support phone line. I can't send calls there so I'm not sure what to do.

“Don’t call because it won’t work” => MasterCard and Visa both have started saying things to get people to STOP calling. Whether “we escalated and are expecting a policy update” or “here is a boilerplate statement we read to our callers”

I think the real problem is that men have an insecurity epidemic. Men act as if they do not have emotions, that they do not get insecure, and poor parenting reinforces this repression. It's much easier and convenient to be pissed off and mad than it is to take responsibility for how you feel.
