I cannot imagine what these events would cost in 2026 without insurance. These are common uncontrollable health issues that can happen to anyone at any age. This isn’t on the radar of many Americans, until it happens to them. It wasn’t on mine until it happened to me, it was a huge wake up call.

🤯 I had emergency gallbladder surgery in 2013, had minor complication so was in hospital for 4 days + imaging tests + antibiotics. Hospital was closest to my house, but not considered in-network, so they tried to charge me over $70k! Bc it was an emergency, insurance paid it, minus large deductible.
