Three weeks of sailing. Best vacation ever. First time sailing the Waddenzee, it was amazing. We were so lucky with the weather too.

Last weekend was the very first time that we participated in a club event: "Ascension Weekend Tour" with the Dehler Club. It was super fun, visiting Volendam, Hoorn and Enkhuizen with a group of 20 boats.

Was so looking forward to this easter weekend, getting the last jobs done on the boat and take her out sailing... and then I got the frikken flu 🤧

I think I found my dream boat. No way I could ever afford it, or any of its smaller sisters, but it's the first one I've come across where I feel like I wouldn't be compromising a single thing. I'd live on it.

I think I found my dream boat. No way I could ever afford it, or any of its smaller sisters, but it's the first one I've come across where I feel like I wouldn't be compromising a single thing. I'd live on it.

This thing is great! It's a bit tricky getting on and off of it, but it sure beats trying to do polishing and kit work on a ladder. Just a few more weeks until our yellow tub is back in the water!

First new boat parts ordered for season 2025: A new depth sensor and display, and a secondary controller with extension cord for the marine radio. There's some big jobs still on the list, but nothing high priority. She'll be back in the water next month. Can't wait!

Our sailing club sent out their first newsletter of 2025. This season will be jam-packed with events, trips, races, most notably the celebration of their 50-year anniversary. It's also the season of Sail Amsterdam, celebrating another two anniversaries: 750 years Amsterdam and 10 years Sail.

Dear recording artists, sound engineers & producers: please stop adding vinyl ticks & pops noise to your song. I bought your album on vinyl, I go out of my way to make sure it's clean and pristine, I play it on audiophile equipment to hear every nuance you put in your song...

Standaard herfst/winter zondag: Wat later wakker, bakkie koffie, lekker in bad weken, plaatjes draaien. Mooie albums gescoord bij een geweldig leuke platenzaak in Tilburg gister, dus ik heb er zin in!

I ended up going to Amsterdam after work and visit some record stores for RSD Black Friday. It was rather underwhelming. I say, let's just keep RSD and drop the Black Friday thing.

Tomorrow, the record stores that participate in the annual Record Store Day, are having a mini-RSD for Black Friday. I was planning to go with a buddy and visit the stores in two cities, but now work has thrown a wrench in the plans. Of course no record store in the client's area either. Meh 😔
