And wear clean underwear, in case the plane crashes. Would be really embarrassing to die wearing dirty drawers.
Duffy: "Trump talks about the golden age of transportation. But the golden age in transportation truly begins with you ... People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly ... so we want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season: Help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

I need to clean up the prose a bit and think of a better name for the flowers (they're based on a type of crocus that I found by googling "poisonous blue flower"). But I was proud of myself for coming up with this on the fly in about five minutes. I put a couple of myths like this in the wip
November 19, 2025 at 11:53 PM
I wrote a myth for my wip about a woman who falls in love with an anthropomorphic goose god. Then today I saw a couple of archaeologists debating a paper claiming that a clay artifact depicts a woman having sex with a goose. It's attributed to the culture I used as inspiration for the one in my wip.

I'm deleting my posts dunking on Olivia Nuzzi's book because, upon reflection, that was a little more mean-spirited than I like to be.

“she flamed out and faded away” is such funny framing for a woman publishing an excerpt of her book in vanity fair, where she also works. I wish I could flame out and fade away so successfully
Vanity Fair's West Coast Editor Olivia Nuzzi was a star political correspondent until scandal led her into exile—and to a California up in flames.

In an excerpt from her book, ‘American Canto,’ she takes stock of scorched earth.

My top 5 genres:

- a protagonist & the voice in their head go on an adventure
- heroic woman contends with villain trying to corrupt her
- protagonist(s) steadily go insane over the course of the story
- the neighbors are up to something
- supernatural horror that escalates into absurdity
What are your top 5 movie genres? Mine are:

- Roaring rampage of revenge
- Reluctantly, I must resume my life of violence
- On reflection, the risk assessment on our giant monster facility and/or attraction could have been more thorough
- Girl survives
- Crime but make it quirky
