The most pernicious thing about this particular set of talking points is that it completely glosses over the fact that this proposal will almost certainly do away with the protection for consumers with pre-existing conditions.
Cassidy: "If she goes and gets 2 types of shampoo & one is a dollar cheaper, she'll get the cheaper one & the other lowers their price. Once you give her the power of making the decision, she's gonna shop -- that begins to save her money and squeezes waste out of the healthcare system."

@schumer.senate.gov Please do not cave and vote yes on any bill that reopens the government without ACA subsidy extensions. A promise you vote on them later is not good enough.

I have been thinking about how narcissists respond to perceived injury for no reason at all today.

It’s been 10 years and I am still quietly chuckling about the belated outrage of the entitled friend who ate 5 slices of my high fiber bread without reading the label on the bag.

This thread is some of Pope’s best work all year
OK. It's going to be coming out soon because of the relentless investigations of Pam Bondi and Kash Patel, so I might as well admit it before the news breaks:

I am the General Counsel of Antifa.

People are talking about the lack of clapping at the meeting in Quantico this morning, but I vaguely recall a rule about not clapping b/c military decorum. Did I make that up?

I read an interview with a homeless woman who had her husband’s ashes taken from her in a sweep. She said she cannot sleep wondering what the police did with them, and honestly, I cannot stop thinking that my taxes funded such rank cruelty. I’m ashamed.

This is not your point and applaud you for not starting fights, but you made me think. I am a woman and I have been in three fights, all with men, and none of which I started. 2 strangers and 1 domestic partner. More men need to learn to use their words.
I’m a 47 year old man. I’ve never thrown a punch. I’ve never been in a fight. I don’t carry any weapons around for protection. I am unfamiliar with the way of the blade.
