I literally just finished the entire season of Dope Thief in 2 nights. It’s definitely a recommended watch.

On the note of the security guard - I didn’t like him at first. I felt he was inept at everything but expected accolades for it — a promotion, getting the the girl, etc. but he redeemed himself towards the end. A victim of a changing society who was trying to be true to himself.

But it would have been great if the two most earnest people on the show were the ones to die this season bc that’s usually how that world operates. You lose your soul to the $$$ or die. Same w/ the security guard.

I think they should should have had the youngest son die. That wealthy family got away too damn easily. I hated it. But I guess it’s kinda real. Those people never truly endure hardships. They always wind up ok.

Yea they literally did a grep ‘gay’ and no further looking was done. So Mr. Joe Gay and Gaylord Hospital pinged to be deleted. Lmao. Like remedial ass computer programming.

But instead it’s casted with men who would have grandkids and 401ks and colonoscopies and maybe considering dentures.

Like, the Dinklage character should have been played by the chubby kid in Stranager Things - that’s how it’s written. But somehow played by an Emmy winning 55 year old. wtf. And Brolin should have been Skylar Gisondo. That’s how this is written 100%

Also, they are brothers and the children of GWEN CLOSE and it’s so weird throughout the movie they refer to “the kids”. Aka these 60 year old men.

I can’t figure out if the Josh Brolin character is supposed to be special needs or neurodivergent but the acting of the character is weird.

Ok I figured it out. It feels like a bunch of grandparents got together and make a “teen movie” they always wanted to make. I swear the dialogue for these two RESPECTED ACTORS is like shit right outta a med budget teen comedy
