That seems about par for the course

I think the lighting portion may be worth it. Boiled water is not, it is stupid and they will have to change it unless I am missing something. Seems infinitely better to just use a normal irrigation pump connected with a pipe.

(if floors are built on the normal size column). But I think I have seen some farms with buildings that have several floors of planters sort of stacked on top of each other 5 or 6+ deep. So I will be trying that.

Been testing around with the gardener greenhouse tower - it goes 3 “stories” down - so the light and water will go to plots of plants on the floor it is on and then the 2 below it

Biomechanical Part - The Scorcher Head

I believe this turns the planter into a furnace, but it doesnt has the perks of someone who built a perked furnace.

Biomechanical Part - Flare Bulbfly

I put this thing down in the wild to help fight mobs. It didnt do anything, so I don't know.

Biomechanical Part - Rainfall Reaper

Not tested yet.

Biomechanical Part - Digger

Turns the planter into a mining platform.

Biomechanical Part - Watcher Head.

Will freeze enemies like the Shattered Maiden, but only for a short duration.

When you graft with biomechanical parts, the plants themselves become unique faculties or battle ready turrets.

Biomechanical Part - Agent Head.

Attacks enemies with the bubble blast from the same mob.

Biomechanical Part - Morphic

Will turn the current crop is a seed and crop dispenser.

When you approach a graftable crop, you'll be given the option to access this menu with "H". There's a list of all possible crop and biomechanical grafts. I'll compile a list of all crop to crop grafts and their affects.

cost of a 1 minute wait time per craft and it needs to be done manually. 1 grown crop will net you between 2 to 5 seeds, I've found.

The other function of the PPB is to carry biomechanical plants.

The Portable Planter Box is a special box for the gardener. It can be placed in your terriory and in the wild. It will turn crops into seeds with its Seed Breeding function at the

The regular grafting catalyst increases the success of a graft by 1% and the high efficiency graft is 2%. The issue is, the High efficiency catalyst costs a refined detoxident to make, while regulars only need a detoxident.
July 10, 2025 at 11:54 AM
The gardener can craft catalysts that will increase the odds of a successful graft. The the initial graft says it's a success but that is misleading. The success of the graft is calculated once the crop finishes it's growth -phase.

The Soil Solution can be crafted and will increase the fertility of the region you are in by 10 for each use. Each can has 10 uses. (Not tested yet for effectiveness)
July 10, 2025 at 11:54 AM
The environmental detector shows the parameters of fertility of the region you are in. I'm not sure how useful this tool is considering crops can grow anywhere with automated lighting and irrigation.

The Gardener has a phase 1 ready Irrigation + Lighting fixture. It requires 15 Watts of power and requires to be manually filled with boiled water. The required boiled water increased in consumption per minute at higher values. Only 1 can be created.
