it's a failure. but nobody was offering $$$ anywhere close to what apple were, and apple helped bring messi to the league so i get why MLS did it. there's much, much bigger problems with the league than just their broadcast setup

MLS owners wanted guaranteed home playoff game $$$ for qualifying. could've just done home and away to achieve this, but i guess there's minimal "home-field advantage" for the higher seed in that format ... and also, MLS™ gonna MLS™. the single elimination part of the playoffs is always good, though

i heard through the grapevine that TSN only had the option to choose one whitecaps game in the first round, and so they chose game 2 since it's the elimination game in this best of 3 format. but if the series goes to game 3... that will only be on apple TV.
