Thankfully the job is still safe - except for the barrage of emails from Musk, and the demand to return to office, eliminate teleworking altogether, and now have to report 5 things accomplished EACH WEEK by Monday night, to a new accountability email address created for DHS. Ugh. It’s all so stupid.

Work has intensified, had some big health scares, sorta just became a hermit and focused on my work to escape real life 😕 MISSED YOOOUUUU!! 🫶🏻

Exactly. I’m honestly looking forward to my timeline being flooded with “the Chiefs paid the refs, hard to compete against the Chiefs AND refs” this weekend instead of the absolute destruction of our democracy.

that she would “RATHER PAY MORE for fruits and vegetables and all the groceries affected knowing it would help an American make a GOOD paycheck”. Threw a gawdamn fit over the price of eggs & milk before the election but okay w/ increasing cost of other groceries as long as illegals don’t touch them?

She says “was told I was wrong, need the illegals for it”, and I think what she was misconstruing was how we were explaining the unintended consequence of the deportation efforts on the price of fruits, vegetables, coffee, etc. Of course she laugh reacts it, and proceeds to tell me…

And against my better judgement, and most likely needing a serotonin bump, engaged with her explaining how that’s not even remotely accurate. She says she saw it on fb, where democrats were using that narrative. I went on to explain how that’s not even CLOSE to how the left is reacting to the news.
