Whether in Florida or England presumably contested defamation proceedings would require Trump to submit to cross-examination on his words and actions on and before Jan 6.

The right to criticise the tenets of religions in which you don't believe is implicit in the concept of freedom of religion. It's quite distinct from abusing or threatening adherents of a particular religion. All this ought to be obvious to GB News and the Mail.

Trump is not popular in the UK and most people believe - on good evidence - that he was complicit in the Capitol riot. What do the Tory party in Parliament and the media hope to gain by reinforcing the idea that they are Trump supporters?

When Boris Johnson tried something similar with the House of Commons in 2019 the UK Supreme Court ruled that he was acting unlawfully and he had to give way.

The firework season now starts sometime in October in anticipation of Halloween and ends some time in January in remembrance of New Year. It's an ancient custom going back, oh at least ten years.

You don't have to be that old to remember a time when there were millions of WWll veterans and quite a lot of WWI veterans. Noone suggested they all thought the same about anything. Those few that are left are here by good luck and like all us speak for themselves not for a generation
